Pop & Go - Dummies

A one-piece pacifier is a bit more clean because the single-piece construction allows for no joints or cracks where dirt and bacteria can hide. #peekaboo #yuck

No! Of course we recommend checking the nipple before giving it to babe by pulling it in all directions. If the pacifier gets lodged in their mouth, don’t panic. Simply remove it, it was designed to be impossible for baby to swallow.

Introduce the pacifier when your baby is fairly calm and content. Touch the pacifier to their cheek. This should encourage them to turn towards the pacifier and suckle. This is a natural reflex that babies are born with. #mothernature

If your baby is not grasping onto the nipple or spits it out after a while, then give it a rest and try again in a new setting or when they are more apt to try again. As with all pacifiers, if babe yawns, cries or falls asleep and relaxes their mouth the pacifier will fall. We wish we could design around this, but we aren't that good!

For day-to-day cleaning, wash in a dishwasher or with warm soapy water and—very important—let it dry completely before each use. Give it a good shake to ensure water doesn’t get trapped in the nipple.

OK, so yes and no. This really depends on you. We’re not helicopter parents, we embrace a little exposure to the elements, and of course this is meant to keep all that nasty stuff out. Will you need to wash this paci? Yes, of course. But you’ll wash it one or two times per day versus 50.

They may need to get used to it. Like all toys and objects, introducing a new one into the mix can occasionally take some time. Help baby by keeping it visible, even when not in use. In our experience, curious little hands eventually explore and find they love it.

BIBS Dummies

Size 1 - Suitable for 0-6 months

Size 2 - Suitable for 6-18 months

Before each use, the BIBS Soother should be sterilised by pouring boiling water over them. DO NOT store the soothers in disinfectant/sterilising liquid as this can affect the soother's durability. DO NOT place soothers in the dishwasher or microwave as it can destroy the rubber.

Check the soother before each use - especially when baby is teething - and throw away at the first signs of damage or weakness. However, we recommend the soother be replaced every two months for hygienic purposes.

The latex nipple is affected by external influences like temperature, saliva, light, and heat. These changes are expressed in swelling, discoloration, stickiness, and loss of stability of the nipple by tensile load and correspond with the natural aging process of latex.

The enlarged pacifier nipple indicates that the nipple has been in use for a while, which has resulted in a swelling of the latex material. Therefore, the present size can differ from the original size and the new pacifier seems smaller than the old one.

When should you replace your pacifier?

Inspect carefully before each use. Pull the nipple in all directions. Throw away at the first signs of damage or weakness.Replace the pacifier after 4-6 weeks of use, for safety and hygiene reasons.

After cleaning it is not unusual that water remains in the nipple. The residual water can be removed by squeezing the nipple after cooling off. If water drops remain in the nipple, just let the pacifier air-dry.

This could be caused by several things.  It could be that you have used the old pacifier for too long. This is one of the reasons why you should replace the pacifier every 4-6 weeks in order to avoid changes which might occur over time.

Sterilize the pacifier by putting it in a bowl with boiling water for 5 minutes before the first use.

Place the pacifiers in a clean and heat resistant bowl and pour boiling water over them.Leave in the water for 5 minutes and let them dry on a clean towel afterwards.Use the towel to press excess water out of the nipple.

Make sure the pacifiers is completely cooled down before giving it to your baby. Keep it clean by washing it with hot, soapy water after each use.

Sometimes, when water remains in the nipple after sterilization it can cause a sound when the pacifier is used by your baby. There is no harm in a little water inside the nipple.

Latex is a natural product with many positive properties like softness, high bite endurance, and tensile strength. However, latex is subject to natural material fluctuations which can become noticeable through a different optical appearance. Therefore, the nipple can vary in clearness and colour. The quality or product safety is not affected thereby.

The pacifiers should not be cleaned in the dishwasher as this may damage the material.  Furthermore, most dishwashers do not reach temperatures high enough to sufficiently sterilize the pacifiers.

We would advise you not to freeze your pacifiers with or without water inside for two reasons:

The latex nipple is not intended for that kind of use. Therefore, we cannot ensure that the material or the material properties stay the same after such treatment. The latex nipple has a low wall thickness. Hence, you should always avoid skin contact if frozen. Direct skin contact and even indirect skin contact with ice can cause skin injuries and frostbite.
